FAQs
How soon do we need to book our celebrant?
You must give your celebrant at least one month notice of your intention to marry. This is done by lodging a Notice of Intended Marriage, a document which your celebrant can provide. The NOIM can be lodged as early as 18 months before your wedding date.
Also consider the day and time you have chosen for your ceremony. If you want to book a celebrant for a peak time of year such as May, August, September or October and you want them available on a Saturday afternoon (or even a Friday afternoon) then book early, even 12 months in advance. Your Notice of Intended Marriage will remain valid for 18 months, so you can plan ahead!

What ID do we need to show our celebrant?
Your celebrant will need to sight your birth certificate (proof of date and place of birth) and photo ID, or your passport (this will provide both proof of date and place of birth AND photo ID) If either of you have been married before you will also need to provide evidence of the termination of that previous marriage (eg. a Divorce or Death certificate)
How much do you charge?
Details about fees, what’s included, and what extra costs you may need to cover are in this little brochure HERE
Are you available to travel?
YES! I enjoy a road trip, a boat ride, a helicopter or plane ride. I don't mind getting my feet wet and don't suffer from sea sickness :)
Sometimes I will need charge extra to cover fuel for distance travelled (to Biloela, Gladstone and beyond). If required, I will ask you to provide transport to remote locations (eg. Islands) and overnight accommodation.

Can we still get married while the COVID 19 Virus restrictions are in place?
YES! However there are some restrictions in place and these are changing as the virus response is updated. For the ceremony and the reception a COVID Safe Plan must be in place. Check with your venue, your celebrant and wedding/event planner for more details about their COVID Safe Plans .It is important if you are unwell, that you do not go to a wedding. Physical distancing will be required. A record of names and contact details of each guest must be kept for 56 days to assist in contact tracing if required.
